FIERY CUSHMAN is an assistant professor in the department of psychology at Harvard University where he is also the director of the Moral Psychology Research Lab.
His research asks questions like: Why do we sometimes punish accidents? And, when do we think it is OK to sacrifice one person for the good of many? He is interested in understanding the cognitive processes that give rise to moral judgment, their development, and their evolutionary history.
