KATERINA HARVATI-PAPATHEODOROU is a paleoanthropologist specializing in Neanderthal evolution and modern human origins. After graduating at the University of New York in 2001 Harvati worked as a Senior Researcher at the Max-Planck-Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology in Leipzig and since 2009 is the Director Paleoanthropology at the Eberhard-Karls-Universität Tübingen and the Senckenberg Center for Human Evolution and Paleoecology, Paläoanthropologie.
She is also adjunct Professor of Anthropology at the City University of New York Graduate Center.
