MIKE BROWN is Past Chairman of The Nasdaq Stock Market Board of Directors, past governor of the National Association of Securities Dealers, and past CFO of Microsoft Corporation, currently a director of EMC Corporation, VMware, Administaff Inc., Pipeline Financial Group Inc., and Thomas Weisel Partners.
He served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Microsoft Corporation from 1994 to July 1997. Mr. Brown served as Vice President - Finance of Microsoft Corporation from April 1993 to August 1994 and as Treasurer from January 1989 to April 1993.
Prior to joining Microsoft, Mr. Brown spent 18 years with Deloitte & Touche LLP in various positions including as Managing Partner.
Mr. Brown served as the Chairman of the NASDAQ Stock Market Board of Directors. He has been a Director of Thomas Weisel Partners Group Inc., since February 14, 2007.
Mr. Brown serves as a Director of EMC Corporation, a provider of information management systems, software and services. Mr. Brown has been a Director of 360networks Inc. and its former subsidiary, 360networks Corporation since November 2002. Mr. Brown has been a Director of Administaff Inc., a personal employer organization since November 1997. Mr. Brown serves as a Director of e-Xchange Advantage Corporation. He serves as a Director of Pipeline Trading Systems LLC. Mr. Brown serves as a Director of Citrix Systems Inc., a supplier of thin client/server application server products. He serves as a Member of Thomas Weisel Partners Advisory Board. Mr. Brown served as a Director of Wang Laboratories, Inc.
He served as Governor of National Association of Securities Dealers and is a member of the University of Washington Business School Advisory Board.
Mr. Brown holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from University of Washington in Seattle.
