STEVE FULLER holds the Auguste Comte Chair in Social Epistemology in the Department of Sociology at the University of Warwick. Originally trained in the history and philosophy of science, he is the founder of the research program of social epistemology.
Major areas of research are the future of the university and critical intellectuals, the emergence of intellectual property in the information society, the interdisciplinary challenges in the natural and social sciences, the political and epistemological consequences of the new biology.
He is the author of several books, including The Proactionary Imperative: A Foundation for Transhumanism; The Knowledge Book: Key Concepts in Philosophy, Science and Culture; Humanity 2.0: What it Means to be Human Past, Present and Future and its follow-up Preparing for Life in Humanity 2.0.
